Professor of Business Ethics
Professor Wim Vendekerckhove is Professor of Business Ethics at EDHEC Business School. His research interests include institutional landscapes and dialectics of transparency, philosophy of management and behavioural business ethics. He has provided expertise on whistleblowing to various national and international organisations and is the author on a number of whistleblowing books. He was the BSI Working Group convenor for ISO37002, the international standard for whistleblowing management systems.
Wim has provided expertise on whistleblowing to various organisations, including Council of Europe, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Transparency International, Public Concern at Work, WhistleblowersUK, Public Services International, the Whistleblower Advice Centre in the Netherlands, the UK Department of Health, the UK Financial Conduct Authority, the British Standards Institute (BSI), the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA), the APPG on Whistleblowing, and the Equality and Employment Law Centre. He is currently the convenor for ISO37002, the international standard for whistleblowing management systems.
He publishes academic papers on whistleblowing, business ethics, and philosophy of management. His books include Whistleblowing and Organisational Social Responsibility (Ashgate/Routledge), and The Whistleblowing Guide: Speak-Up Arrangements, Challenges, and Best Practices (2019, Wiley, with Kate Kenny and Marianna Fotaki).
