Dr Ian Foxley, CEO of Parrhesia Inc recently spoke to students at ESSCA, one of Europe’s top business schools based in Paris about ‘The Whistleblower’s Journey’. 

Drawing on his extensive personal experience, Dr. Foxley detailed his transition from a high-ranking military officer and corporate programme director to becoming a whistleblower. His journey began during his tenure at GPT Special Project Management Limited, where he uncovered and reported irregular payments linked to defense contracts. This courageous act led to investigations that catalysed significant reforms within the Airbus Group.

In his talk, Dr Foxley emphasised the challenges whistleblowers face and the support systems and frameworks needed to protect individuals who speak up against wrongdoing. Ian’s personal story demonstrates the crucial need to prioritise integrity, transparency and accountability in the workplace and the need for business leaders to be examples of personal and professional integrity to those whom they employ.’
