Tom Keatinge hosts a podcast ( as part of the Suspicious Transaction Report
podcast series) with Nick Ephgrave, Director of the Serious Fraud Office, and Eliza
Lockhart, author of the SOC ACE recent paper on ‘The Role of Financial Rewards
for Whistleblowers in the Fight Against Economic Crime’.
The paper is an important milestone in focusing attention on the power and
advantages of rewarding whistleblowers as significantly beneficial to the criminal
investigative process. Creating such conversations is important in raising the
visibility of initiatives which can recognize, incentivize and help rehabilitate those
whose lives are torn apart just for telling the truth about wrongdoing. Let us now see
what our politicians do about such compelling research evidence.
